How are child care voucher schemes administrated?

One of the reasons that the child care voucher scheme is becoming so popular is that it requires very little work from the three main parties involved; the employer, the employee and the child care provider. This is because the bulk of the administration is handled by a third party – a child care voucher scheme specialist.

These companies are usually managed and operated by people with many years of experience in the child care business, who know how businesses work, but also understand the needs of the parents and the child care providers. This puts them in the unique position of being able to liaise with all parties in order to provide a smooth service.

When a company decides that it wants to set up a child care voucher scheme, it will contact several voucher administration companies to find out what they offer, in the same way as it would look for any new supplier. An administrator that can show experience in the child care industry, together with a complete support package for the employer, the employee and the provider, will inspire confidence that the scheme will be run to the benefit of all parties involved.

Usually, the administrator will provide information and marketing packs to a new client, to help them promote the scheme to their staff, and may also come into the company to run staff presentations, where employees can learn more about the scheme and ask questions of the administrators. They will provide application forms for each employee to complete if they want to take part in the scheme, and they will keep records of the amounts of vouchers requested by each participating employee each month.

All the provider has to do in order to redeem the vouchers is to send proof of registration and their bank details to the administrating company. Whenever a voucher is redeemed, the money is paid directly into the provider's bank account. There is no cost at all to the provider.

At Fennies Vouchers.Com, we can administer your child care voucher scheme, ensuring continuity of service between the company, the employee and the child care provider.
